This series contains Town Allotment Survey Plans cretaed by the Ballarat Divisional Office of the Department of Crown Lands and Survey. Plans pertain to early Ballarat and detail name of Surveyor, crown allotment and section numbers, date surveyed, and original plan references.

Note also that there are more digital images than there are physical units. This is because some physical units contain several discrete plans on one sheet. These have been created as individual items, but can only be ordered as units.

Recordkeeping system

Each plan has been stored individually in a separate plastic bag and arranged in chronological order. Many of the plans are damaged and worn.
