NB re Date RangesThe negatives in this series were accumulated together by the Publications Branch in c. 1967 however the negatives themselves date from c.1950 - 1967.
This series was transferred from the Education History Unit of the Department of Education and Training.
The transfer consisted of more than thirty thousand photographs. Most of these were stored in a discernible order. For approximately one thousand miscellaneous photographs and other items, no order was apparent. Some of these miscellaneous photographs were identified as having been created from the negatives in VPRS 14517. These photographs are of various sizes and have been put back into their place in the sequence.
A considerable number of the negatives were not with this transfer - their location is unknown. Further negatives were damaged when received. The identifying numbers of these images are listed in Unit Details 2 (images not with transfer) and Unit Details 3 (damaged).
