Function / Content

The Education of Migrants Record Book was created to document the employment of teachers of migrants during the period 1952 - 1965. From c.1960 the record of any new teachers of migrants were recorded in VPRS 11373, however any existing records in VPRS 13970 continued to be added to until c.1965.

Information may include:

The name of the teacher
The school's name
The authority (the date the teacher commenced employment at a school)
Remarks

The remarks column usually contains a brief description of the position(s) that the teacher held, often including their salary. Notes on departure from employment were also recorded.

This series was transferred to PROV from the Education History Unit of the Department of Education and Training.

Refer to the alphabetical index in the front of the volume to find the folio number of an individual.
