Louise Blake has been mining her family history for interesting stories since she was a teenager. She has a post-graduate diploma in Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Canberra and a masters in Biography and Life Writing from Monash University. She has previously worked for the National Library of Australia, National Museum of Australia, Public Record Office Victoria and the City of Whitehorse. When she’s not using her research skills to investigate her family history she is conducting historical research through Blake Hyland Group, a consultancy she co-founded in 2006. Her research on the preservation of the Regent Theatre was published in the 2005 issue of Provenance.
