A large number of groups from family history and other
societies are now visiting Public Record Office Victoria reading rooms each
year. The rooms have limited seating, both for using original records and for
consulting microforms, and are often filled to capacity.
If your group is planning a visit to either the Victorian or
Ballarat Archives Centres in the next few months please contact the Archivist, Reading
Rooms to discuss your plans.
We aim to meet the special needs of clients visiting our
Reading Rooms. If you have a physical or hearing disability, are visually
impaired or have special language needs, please contact us before your visit
and we will try to provide any special assistance you require.
PROV provides training on how to use the online catalogue
and access records. Visit the PROV training web page
to see what training is available.
