    System of Arrangement/Control

    Series: an accumulative series of glass place negatives.

    Function/Contents

    This series of glass plate negatives was created by the Melbourne Harbour Trust Commissioners.

    The glass plate negatives from which the positive prints were made were apparently used in 1920s prior to the use of black/white paper negatives. The dates appearing on the captions, (1923-31) have been used to establish the series date range.

    For specific information regarding each item the Records Description List should be referred to. The list provides a description of the photograph and occassionally, an approximate date.
