  • How to use the Records
    These volumes contain samples of stationery printed for state functions and a photographic record of some functions.

    Items include:

    - examples of itineraries,
    - admission tickets,
    - entrance cards,
    - invitations,
    - programmes,
    - menus,
    - headed notepaper,
    - wreath labels,
    - bereavement cards,
    - parking instructions,
    - supper cards,
    - car passes.

    Typical events covered by these samples are Royal Visits, opening ceremonies conducted by the Governor or Premier, commemorative occasions and official dinners.

    A set of printed stationery used for the 1951 commemoration of the Centenary of Government in Australia is included in Volume 1.

    Also contained in this volume is:

    - a set of black and white photographs on Centenary Jubilee Functions 1951 viz Trooping of the Colour,
    - Commemorative Cavalcade of the Commonwealth of Australia, - Tree Planting Ceremony by State Governor,
    - Aboriginal Musical Production,
    - Centenary Jubilee Train.

    Volume 2 contains stationery and photographs of State Occasions held in 1956 and 1958 namely State Dinner for the International Olympic Committee and State Reception for the Duke of Edinburgh (1956).

    The volume was reused starting from the back to record the stationery samples and photographs of the 1958 Royal Visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother and the Royal Visit of Princess Alexandra of Kent.
