  • How to use the Records
    This series comprises a sample of personal files for persons formerly employed in a succession of departments which have had the responsibility for the functions of decentralisation, economic and state development, tourism, technology and resources.

    There are two files for some staff members because for those persons employed in the Tourism Division, a personal file was maintained by both the Department's Central Administration and the Division. At some stage, possibly when the Victorian Tourism Commission was formed the Tourism files were sent to Central Administration for amalgamation.

    The files contain documents relating to selection, appointment, promotion, salary, leave, termination, etc., of staff.

    The files are either manilla or red folders with the person's name and sometimes, the Division's name and position title written on the cover.
