How to use the Records
Consult the registers for the appropriate period.
Function / Content
The function of the registers is to record information about prisoners at the time they commence their custodial sentence. Information captured includes the prisoner's name, personal description, nature of the offence, occupation, religion, details of sentence or remand and country of origin. Each prisoner is allocated a sequential number. Units 1 and 2 include male prisoners only. Units 3 and 4 include both male and female prisoners.
