  • Recordkeeping System
The p1 consignment of this series comprises CIC records created and managed under 2 records management systems between 1999 and 2010 - RecFind and TRIM.

    Period : 1999 to 2007

The hardcopy Cabinet-in-Confidence records registered and managed within RecFind across the department. Most divisions within the department used their own alpha code prefixes. Files were registered with an alpha-code followed by an annual single number, e.g. CAB/2006/000001 Pt 1 - Unique identifer divided into 3 parts. Part A = 3 letter alphabetical prefix defining broad subject matter of folder, eg CAB = Cabinet Services. Part B = calendar year of creation. Part C = sequential numerical identifier of each folder (unique within context of overall record number).

In March 2007 the Department of Infrastructure ceased to use RecFind as its electronic recordkeeping system and introduced TRIM records management software. All RecFind files and documents were migrated into TRIM as legacy files.

    PERIOD: 2007 to ct.

The hardcopy and electronic Cabinet-in-Confidence records were registered and managed within TRIM EDRMS (Electronic Document & Records Management System) across the department. Most divisions within the department employed their own alpha code prefixes. The prefixes refer to divisional names, branch names, programs or projects.

Files in this series were registered with an alpha-code followed by an annual single number, e.g. FOL/09/01 - unique identifier divided into three parts. Part A = three letter alphabetical prefix defining DOT (Department of Transport) record type, .e.g. FOL = Folder. Part B = calendar year of creation. Part C = sequential numerical identifier of each folder (unique within context of overall record number).
